MR®114HB is an ultra bright fluorescent green-yellow (under UV), dry green, highly sensitive ferromagnetic powder designed to be used in water which is used for Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT). MR114HB particles is pre-mixed with water conditioner – including corrosion inhibitor, anti-foam and wetting agent; manufactured for an optimum sensitivity, excellent discontinuity definition, brightness with minimal to nil background and magnetic characteristics for wet method fluorescent MPT.

It detects medium to fine surface and slightly sub surface discontinuities such as cracks, inclusions, seams, tears, laps, flakes and other welding defects.

UCI hardness tester NOVOTEST T-U2 is designed for rapid non-destructive hardness testing of:

• metals and alloys on standardized international scales of hardness: Rockwell (HRC), Brinell (HB), Vickers (HV);
• metals with distinctions in properties of steel (e.g., non-ferrous metals, alloys of iron and others.) and using five additional scales for calibration;
• using a scale of tensile strength (Rm) to determine the tensile strength of carbon steel pearlitic products by automatic recalculation from Brinell (HB) hardness scale

Ultrasonic hardness tester T-U2 implements the ultrasonic contact impedance method (UCI).

Leeb Hardness Tester NOVOTEST T-D2 is designed for rapid non-destructive hardness testing of various objects.
Leeb Hardness Tester NOVOTEST T-D2 uses dynamic method of hardness testing – Leeb method, standardized according to ASTM A596.
Leeb probe is used for measuring the hardness of non-ferrous metals, cast iron, materials with coarse-grained structure, solid products, etc.

Combined Hardness Tester NOVOTEST T-UD2 is designed for rapid non-destructive hardness testing of :

• metals and alloys on standardized hardness scales;
• metals with different properties from steel (for example, non-ferrous metals, alloys, cast iron, etc.) with additional scales for calibration;
• use the scale of tensile strength (Rm) for determining the tensile strength of carbon steel products pearlitic by automatically converting from Brinell (HB) hardness scale.

Device implements 2 methods of testing: rebound (Leeb) and ultrasonic contact impedance (UCI). The combination of both methods allows user to test all range of metal products.

The device operates both UCI (Ultrasonic Contact Impedance) and the Leeb (dynamic) probes. Getting benefit from two types of measurements is the ultimate advantage that a portable device can provide.

UCI method for the hardness testing

The UCI hardness measuring method complies to ASTM A1038.
The ultrasonic contact impedance (UCI) probe is purposed to be used for hardness measuring in the case of the testing area minimal thickness (from 1 mm), objects of complex surface shape, and for measuring surface hardened layers hardness.

Leeb method for the hardness testing

 

The Leeb hardness measuring method complies to ASTM A956.
The Leeb probe (D type) is used for hardness measuring of massive objects (more than 5 kg, and more than 10 mm) and made of steels non-ferrous metals,  cast irons, coarse-grained materials, e.t.c. Also, Leeb method perfectly complements with UCI hardness measuring method when UCI method is not applied.
